In the early days of the founding of New China, the kettles used by our army were mostly products produced in the logistics factories taken over from the Kuomintang. They were similar in form to Japanese kettles. The kettle body was made of aluminum, with cork as the kettle stopper, fixed on both sides of the kettle with canvas straps, and carried with adjustable canvas straps. Some kettles were also printed with the August 1st Army emblem on the outside, but the kettle walls were thin and the outer paint was not strong. During marches and battles, they were easily deformed by bumps; the cork kettle stopper that had been used for a period of time was prone to deformation and leakage. When the kettle was filled with water and violent movements were made, it would wet the clothes of the carrier, and if it was filled with boiling water, it would cause burns. Later, the kettle stopper was changed from cork to a phenolic plastic threaded cap to enhance the sealing. Therefore, it became the most convenient and practical accessory for the working people in my country at that time.
With the development of science and technology and the actual combat needs of the troops, the demand to transform military water bottles into military water purifier kettles needs to be urgently addressed. Because in harsh combat environments, soldiers may not be able to get safe drinking water, which will affect the direction of the subsequent battle. Therefore, a new generation of military water purifier kettles came into being. On the basis of the existing military water bottles, by adding pressurization and filtering devices, the military water bottles are transformed from ordinary water bottles to military water purifier kettles.
